Yesterday, the collapsed of the Titanic expired hundred years. Because of this, I wanted to write a post about the fashion of century twenty, the Titanic´s fashion.
In 1912 thousands of people embarked in the Titanic, people of different social statements, people with different styles.
The fashion of this century was inspired in orientals cuts, nature adornments and greco-roman desings in the night dresses. These dresses was of the short sleeve, to be able to shine long gloves and wonderful necklaces.

The complements had a lot of importance. The day dresses were going with hats with bows and feathers, and the night dresses with diadems, tiaras and long gloves.
Kate Winsley en Titanic, la película |
With the complementss is very important the precious stones in the dresses and the head adornments.

All these things were changing, depending on the social statements, because the people of the middle class had less money and his suits and dresses were less overloaded.

The men, had more basic suits. They were dressing suits of straight cut and without any type of print.

The men used complements like hats or scarves to the day and gloves and cane for the night.

The men of middle class just dressed a pant with a tshirt, they don´t used suit.
In comparation with the current fashion, we can rescue some trends that continue wearing like the big jewels with an night dress, or the big hats for events by night, parties or enclosedly weddings.

The Titanic was a great fashionable runway for all those persons who due to his high class, could allow to buy big works of art, lodge at big rooms and take several trunks with great quantity of clothes, since in this epoch the elegance, the power and the style were measured for his dresses. And as great milestone of the fashion that was, after the collapse of the Titanic the fashion in general happened in an epoch of decline.
